Camille

This sculpture was made as a "homage" / tribute to Camille Claudel (8 December 1864 – 19 October 1943) . A fantastic french sculptor who challenged sculpture and what the role of a female artist was, she opened the road to all female sculptors after her. Her work is enormously strong and powerful in subject form and movement. She has a deep influence on my work.
